Melissa has extensive experience in networking as she started her company SeriousMonkey back in 2009 and has made an impact in the Hamilton scene that doesn’t go un-noticed. She’s been involved with many Hamilton groups and companies like the Art Gallery of Hamilton, Mind Your Business Unconference, and even one of HIVE’s own groups YEP. When you get to know her you’ll notice immediately that what you see is what you get with her. It’s her uncanny ability to make business fun that really makes companies in Hamilton strive to work with her.

Andreana Hudson

Andreana has worked in Hamilton’s Tourism and Hospitality Industry since 2005, having previously spent time working in a Toronto Advertising Agency. Currently a Sales Executive for HECFI, Andreana is also one of the Owners of The Vintage Marketplace.
With strong ties to local community and HIVE groups, Andreana is an active member of the Hamilton Chamber of Commerce, Tourism Hamilton, Canadian Society of Association Executives, GenNext United Way and CLiC (AGH).
Andreana looks forward to supporting Melissa in her role as Chair, as well as continuing to promote Hamilton as a thriving community for Young Professionals.

Matt has been an active member of the Hamilton Chamber of Commerce, starting in 2004, and a member of YEP since 2012.
Matt attended McMaster University where he obtained his degree in Political Science. He has had extensive experience working with companies and not-for-profit groups, in marketing, business development, political consulting and board administration.
Matt is excited to work with Hamilton Hive in the role of Secretary and looks forward to taking an active part in the momentum of Hamilton’s young professional community.

Roger Brown III

Since moving to Hamilton from Ghana in 2004 for school, Roger has been an active contributor to the community and calls Hamilton his adoptive hometown. He is a product of McMaster University’s DeGroote School of Business and currently works as a Commercial Banker with Scotiabank.
Roger brings to Hamilton HIVE experience in treasury management in the charitable sector having served as treasurer of several clubs while in University. Roger is also very bullish about Hamilton’s socio-economic growth and spends his past times mentoring youths at the Bennetto School. Roger is excited about the expansion of HIVE’s initiatives and the myriad of avenues available to create opportunities for Young Professionals in the city of Hamilton.

Mike Kubes

Mike Kubes is an honours McMaster University graduate and the owner of Kubes Media Design.
In the role of administrator, Mike is responsible for the management of the Hive’s website, sending out the weekly What’s Happening e-mail, managing the Hive’s social media sites and working closely with the Hive Executive in event planning, promotion and assistance.

Ryan Moran

Ryan is a born and raised Hamiltonian and is currently employed as an marketing strategy and communications consultant at Factor(e) Design Initiative. Ryan completed his Master of Business Administration in Strategic Market Leadership at McMaster University’s DeGroote School of Business. It was also at McMaster that he earned an Honours BA in a combined major of Political Science and Theatre & Film, and subsequently served as the VP Administration and President (and CEO) of the McMaster Students Union.
Ryan has been involved with the HIVE in various capacities since its inception. He has also had consistent involvement in broader Hamilton/Youth Strategy dialogues. This has included drafting a section on Youth Retention, Attraction and Engagement for Hamilton’s 2010 Economic Development Strategy, and, in fall 2011, authoring a Youth Strategy Framework and Landscape Assessment for Workforce Planning Hamilton (formerly Hamilton Training Advisory Board). Most recently, Ryan wrote a two part piece on youth strategies and municipalities for the December 2011 and January 2012 editions of the independent Hamilton publication Urbanicity.

Michael has been pivotal in the creation of many networking organizations in Hamilton which include the HIVE and YEP. Starting out his career with the City of Hamilton back in 2001, Michael has gained a great understanding of the needs of this city from a grassroots perspective. Graduating from McMaster with a Masters in Political Science and then receiving his post graduate certificate in public relations from the University of Victoria, Michael believes Hamilton’s greatest days are ahead and is working with the community to improve Hamilton’s image day after day.
