We attract and advance people aged 18-39 across all sectors, industries and backgrounds.

We facilitate collaboration and exchange of networks and resources between organizations and individuals to collectively enhance the young demographic in Hamilton

We foster a culture of community engagement and contribute to city building for a sustainable Hamilton.


To serve as Hamilton’s go-to resource and network empowering emerging leaders and young professionals.

Hamilton HIVE roles:

  • Support member groups’ initiatives by promoting their work (e.g. events) through the HIVE social media and e-newsletter
  • Facilitate and exchange information among member groups, ensuring that each group is aware of the resources and services provided by other groups
  • Showcase their initiatives to demonstrate that YPs can prosper and thrive in the city

  • Gather and disseminate information and resources relevant to young professionals
  • Draw on the expertise of member groups to provide different kinds of support to YPs
  • Inform YPs of issues and news in the city, primarily through social media and The Buzz (blog on the HIVE website)
