Our Executive team is comprised of Young Professionals passionate about building up other Young Professionals through events, programming, professional development and networking. The Hamilton HIVE Executive is happy to be able to support all our member groups and the Young Professionals that comprise them.
Born and raised in Hamilton, Michael is eager to contribute to this amazing city. He has honed in on his passion for the Public Relations field through volunteering with local non-profit organizations. He works in the not-for-profit public relations field and is dedicated to contributing to a robust, healthy and prosperous Hamilton.
Corey came to Hamilton in 2010 to study kinesiology at McMaster University and has called the city home ever since. Co-chairing last year’s HIVEX conference was his first introduction to HIVE, the success of the event helped ignite the burning passion he has for Hamilton and the young professionals who call it home.
Andrea is a marketing professional based in Hamilton. She specializes in helping small businesses create and execute digital strategies that will help them build relationships with potential clients. She is passionate about creating genuine, meaningful relationships in the community.
Kyle is an incredibly proud Hamiltonian, having lived in the city his entire life. He graduated in 2016 from the McKeil School of Business at Mohawk College, and is currently pursuing his business degree through online education. He spent a term as the V.P. Finance for the Mohawk Students’ Association at Mohawk and is currently serving his term as the President of the MSA.
McMaster University alumna Alyssa Lai is a public relations professional working as a digital marketing coordinator for Hamilton Health Sciences Foundation. In addition to serving as past chair for Hamilton HIVE, Alyssa co-founded two young professional groups and sits on the board of Young Professionals Network of Ontario (YPNO), a network of young professional groups in the province.
Michael has been pivotal in the creation of many networking organizations in Hamilton which include the HIVE and YEP. Starting out his career with the City of Hamilton back in 2001, Michael has gained a great understanding of the needs of this city from a grassroots perspective.
