Monday May 15: Meet the HIVE Member Groups

Help us kick off Young Professional Week by joining us at Collective Arts Brewery to meet representatives from our over 20 Member Groups. This event will be an opportunity to meet and network with young professionals in our community from a diverse range of fields.

To close out YP Week, Hamilton HIVE has partnered with CoMotion Group to present F*ck Up Fridays: the Lunch ’n’ Learn edition.

‍Experience the HPO like never before as Music Director Gemma New introduces audiences to a new, interactive orchestral experience. HPO musicians perform an emotive program while a stimulating light and video display animates the story behind the music. The visuals support the mood of the music and dialogue from Gemma offers insight into the character of each piece.

Concertgoers can mingle, enjoy a drink and speak with Gemma and the musicians at this casual evening that brings people closer to the beauty of live orchestral music.

Discover what makes a great first impression. Tammy Hwang, Business Development Coordinator (City of Hamilton's Global Hamilton office) and Co-founder (CoMotion Group), will lead us in a workshop on how to perfect your pitch in preparation for job fairs, interviews and networking events.

Learn how to market your skills and talents to a potential employer, as well as make new contacts and meet young professionals and entrepreneurs from around the city who will help you practice, give you feedback, and make suggestions on how to better present yourself.

About the Author

Cassandra is a McMaster Alumna, foodie, and born-and-raised Hamiltonian. She works for Jan Kelley as an Account Coordinator, managing marketing campaigns from inception to execution on key clients such as Petro-Canada and ROXUL Inc. She’s also a Co-Chair of the HIVE PR Committee for 2017.
